All orders placed with The Lilly Pad will be subject to acceptance in accordance with these terms and conditions.This website is operated by The Lilly Pad and references to ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘our’ shall be deemed to be references to The Lilly Pad. References to ‘you’ and ‘your’ shall be deemed to be references to persons placing an order via this website.By using this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or, if you are not at least 18 years old, that you have the authority/consent of your parent or guardian to do so.

PRICES, AVAILABILITY OF GOODS & PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

 

All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP). Prices are subject to change, and offers may be withdrawn at any time.Prices do not include delivery, and postage & packaging charges will be added at checkout in accordance with our standard delivery charges. All goods are sold subject to availability.Where goods are temporarily out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible so that you may choose between a full refund, delivery when the item is back in stock, or an alternative product.In the unlikely event of an item being incorrectly priced, we reserve the right to withdraw the item from sale at any point prior to dispatch. You will be promptly informed if such a situation arises.Whilst every care has been taken to ensure that the product descriptions and pictures on our website are accurate, slight variations in size and colour may occur.

 

PLACING AN ORDER.

 

By placing an order with The Lilly Pad, you will be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. If you are unhappy with any aspect of these terms, you should contact us before placing an order. You can email us at thelillypadhelston@gmail.com.On receipt of your order, we will send you an email confirmation. Please check this carefully to ensure all details are correct. Orders placed by you are an offer to purchase and will be accepted by us, subject to stock availability.The contract for the sale of the goods will be formed when we send an email confirmation to you that your order has been dispatched.

 

PAYMENT

 

We accept online payment in a secure environment via PayPal. Most debit/credit cards are accepted, and you do not require a PayPal account.Payment for your order will be taken immediately upon placing your order. Your order will automatically be cancelled if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment.Clearpay is available for customers to use free of charge.Offering this form of ‘flexible’ finance allows customers to purchase items and split the payment over a period of time. Clearpay is a market leader in flexible financing and works with customers such as ASOS and JD Sports.Clearpay does not affect your credit rating. The lending is based on trust and only requires a few details to authorise your transaction.The best part is that it is always interest-free for the customer.How Does It Work?If you see something online you like, add it to your basket and select Clearpay at checkout. You will then be redirected to their page to sign up and register your details. Once completed, you will be redirected back to The Lilly Pad website to complete the sale.Example:If you spend £100, you will pay 25% upfront. The remaining balance will be split into three equal payments, taken every two weeks.

 

DELIVERY

 

The Lilly Pad charges a flat rate for Standard UK Mainland Delivery based on the total value and weight of your order.

Orders under £79.99 £3.50 (up to 1kg), £4.75 (1–2kg), £6 (over 2kg)

Items specified as Large Item Delivery will incur the following charges:

Items up to 6kg – £10 Items over 6kg – £15

For postage to the Channel Islands, Mainland Europe, and worldwide, please contact us for a quote.Please note that some large items are collection only.We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days (we are closed on Mondays). Please allow up to 5 days for your order to arrive, although it will usually be much sooner. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.If you require something more urgently, please call or message us to arrange this.If any item is out of stock and there is likely to be a delay, we will email you. If you prefer not to wait, we will issue a full refund.Goods become your responsibility upon delivery.We are not responsible for delays outside our control.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Orders placed using a delivery address outside of the United Kingdom will be treated as collection-only orders.

Customers are responsible for arranging their own courier to collect the order from our premises. This approach helps to minimise shipping costs for international customers.

Once your order is ready, we will provide the parcel dimensions and weight to assist you in arranging collection. Customers must contact us to confirm the collection arrangements before returning or attempting to collect the order.

Please note that we are not responsible for any loss, damage, or delay once the item has been collected by your chosen courier. We strongly recommend using a reputable courier service such as Royal Mail or DPD and ensuring that adequate insurance is in place for the goods.

If you wish to cancel your order before collection, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. We reserve the right to deduct any reasonable costs incurred in processing the order, including handling and payment processing fees.

 

 

PACKAGING

 

Some items do not come individually boxed and may be delivered in alternative packaging.Using recycled packaging is a sustainable practice that helps lower production costs and reduces environmental impact by repurposing materials and reducing waste. We fully support this approach.

 

RETURN POLICY

 

Cancellations & Returns Policy At The Lilly Pad, we aim to ensure you are fully satisfied with your purchase. However, we understand that occasionally returns or cancellations may be necessary. Please review the following policy carefully.Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods for a full refund, including the standard cost of delivery.You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

1. Collection-Only Items Certain products are clearly marked as “Collection Only” at the time of purchase.If you are unable to collect your item, please notify us as soon as possible.If the item remains uncollected after 14 days and no prior arrangement has been made, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the amount paid minus any reasonable costs incurred, including handling or storage charges.

2. Change of Mind Returns We accept returns under the following conditions:

Notification Period You must notify us within 14 days of delivery.Condition of Goods Items must be complete, undamaged, and in their original packaging.Return Shipping Costs Return postage must be paid by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.Used or Damaged Items We may make a deduction from your refund for any loss in value of the goods if this is the result of handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

3. Return Process If you wish to return an item, please contact us by email or phone. We will provide instructions for returning the item, including the correct return address. Items must not be returned without prior authorisation from us. FAULTY OR NOT AS DESCRIBED GOODS

 

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.If goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

 

DAMAGES

 

In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, you must notify us within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving your order.

You will be required to provide photographic evidence of the damage, including images of both the item and the packaging (internal and external), by emailing thelillypadhelston@gmail.com.

Please do not attempt to repair, alter, or dispose of the item before contacting us, as this may affect our ability to assess the issue and process your claim.

Disposing of the original packaging may invalidate a damage-in-transit claim. Most carriers require the original packaging to be retained for inspection as part of the claims process. If the packaging is not kept, the claim may be declined.

Why It Matters :

  • Inspection: The carrier may need to inspect the packaging.

  • Evidence: Packaging provides crucial supporting evidence.

  • Claims process: Failure to follow procedures may result in rejection.

If both the item and packaging are damaged, the carrier may need to inspect both to determine the cause. If the packaging has been disposed of, the claim may be refused.

Where damage is confirmed, we will provide a return label (we use DPD and Yodel for returns). A full refund or replacement will be issued once the item has been received and inspected.
